About Me

My name is Kelsey Davis and I am from Littleton, Colorado. Here's what you should know about me:

First of all, check out my interview I did where I talked about some of my transformative decisions here . It was a privilege to talk to Lora about me deciding to create my own path in life.

I served a mission in the Dominican Republic Santo Domingo East mission and it was the absolute best 18 months of my life.

I am engaged to my favorite man ever, Taylor, and we will get married in September 2019 when he finishes his mission.

I work as a restorative practices liaison at an elementary school and it's the best job ever.

I bleed blue. (BYU alumna in English)

Nearly done with a master's in Conflict Resolution at the Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. (Try saying that five times fast).

I absolutely adore all of these things:
  • My family
  • The color purple (the color of royalty. Also, nearly all my wardrobe is this color)
  • Turkey Subway sandwiches
  • Boss women
  • President Uchtdorf
  • My church
  • Mountains/Colorado
  • Sparkles
I have a somewhat obsessive personality. If I like something, then I know a lot about it/them. (Case in point above).

My favorite thing in the world is sitting on the couch in my living room reading.

My favorite book is The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen.

Colorado will always have my heart, but DC is a pretty close second:

I've never been on a sports team.

My TV doppelganger is Leslie Knope:

I wholeheartedly believe there is a Taylor Swift, Florence and the Machine, or Adele song for any situation.

My favorite quotes of all time (which is really hard to narrow down if you are me) are:

“Live this day as if it will be your last. Remember that you will only find ''tomorrow'' on the calendars of fools. Forget yesterday's defeats and ignore the problems of tomorrow. This is it. Doomsday. All you have. Make it the best day of your year. The saddest words you can ever utter are, ''If I had my life to live over again. ''Take the baton, now. Run with it! This is your day! Beginning today, treat everyone you meet, friend or foe, loved one or stranger, as if they were going to be dead at midnight. Extend to each person, no matter how trivial the contact, all the care and kindness and understanding and love that you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.”-Og Mandino

and

"Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better."-Maya Angelou (no one should be surprised if I name my daughter Maya)

And... I'm a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it.

Love you all,
Kels
